THE PAPERWORK AFTER THE LEAK

The leak takes an hour. The estimate takes your evening.

Plumbing is priced in the van, on the phone, or not at all — and the margin leaks out through the gaps.

Every job priced from memory

A water heater swap, a slow drain and a full repipe all start life as “about a couple of hours”. Only one of them actually is.

The crawl space you didn't charge for

Work behind a wall or under the floor takes longer and hurts more. If it isn't on the estimate, it's on you.

Tiles and drywall nobody excluded

You opened the wall to fix the pipe. Now the customer expects you to close it, tile it and match the grout — because nobody wrote that you wouldn't.

Emergency calls at daytime rates

The Sunday-night burst pipe went out at the same hourly rate as a Tuesday tap washer, because there was no time to think about it.

HOW IT ESTIMATES PLUMBING

Say the job. Get the hours priced against the rate card.

Paganki prices plumbing by the hour — and knows a water heater or a repipe isn't a tap washer.

Step 1

Describe it like you'd tell your apprentice

“Replace a 50-gallon water heater in the basement, about four hours, tight access, parts included.” AI detects plumbing and pulls out the service type — repair, installation, drain cleaning, water heater, repipe, leak detection or fixture replacement — the hours, fixtures, access and urgency.

Step 2

The hourly rate does the math

About $70, $105 and $160 an hour across budget, recommended and premium on the default rate card, with a $150 minimum. Water heaters add ~30%, repipes ~40%, leak detection ~15% and difficult access ~20%. Rush adds ~25% and emergency ~50%. Rules only — the AI never sets a price. Set your own rates in Settings → Rates.

Step 3

AI writes the scope — and what you're not touching

Permit fees, making good walls, tiles or floors after opening them, fixtures unless included, sewer-line excavation and existing water damage are written out as exclusions in plain language. Review, send, and turn it into an invoice when they say yes.

AI reads the job and writes the document. Rules do the math from your rates plus standard adjustments — the AI never sets a price.

Customers sign the quote on their phone, pay the deposit before you leave, and can save their card so the balance is charged when the job is done. How it works
WHAT PLUMBERS GET

Estimate from the van, get paid before you leave

Hourly pricing, urgency and exclusions handled by rules — so the busy weeks don't eat your margin.

Urgency priced automatically

Rush is ~25%, emergency ~50%, applied by rule from the job description. The burst pipe at midnight is finally priced like one.

Three tiers, you choose

The same job at budget, recommended and premium hourly rates; if parts are on you, a materials line is added to all three. You choose the one to send, and can switch or edit it first.

Written workmanship warranties

List what you stand behind on the new install and what you don't; AI drafts the terms from what you listed, and you review them.

Yes becomes an invoice in one click

The accepted estimate carries the scope and hours straight into the invoice. No re-typing it at 11pm.

Estimates in five languages

English, Spanish, German, French or Italian — same rate card, same numbers.

Paid on the spot

Email the invoice with its pay link or show a QR code; the customer pays by card and you get an email and in-app alert when it clears. Stripe's standard processing fee for your country applies; no platform fee from us.

AI estimating, AI warranties and recurring billing are included in every plan. AI estimates have a monthly allowance — 3 on Freelancer (which also covers 3 invoices a month), 5 on Starter, 15 on Pro, 50 on Scale — shared with AI-written reminders if you turn those on. No add-on fees, no per-estimate charges.

Plumbing estimates, answered

By the hour, like the trade bills. The default rate card is about $70 (budget), $105 (recommended) and $160 (premium) per hour with a $150 minimum. Water heaters, repipes, leak detection and difficult access add set percentages. Rules calculate the price, never the AI. You can replace the defaults with your own rates in Settings → Rates.
Yes, by rule: rush jobs add about 25% and emergencies about 50% when the job description says it's urgent.
Making good walls, tiles or floors after opening them is a standard exclusion on plumbing estimates, along with permit fees, fixtures unless included, sewer-line excavation and existing water damage. Edit them or add your own before you send.
Plans start at $5.99/mo, billed at signup; that plan includes 3 AI estimates and 3 invoices a month, and higher plans include more. Paganki adds no platform transaction fee. Stripe processing fees apply and vary by payment method and region.
